Nkateko, this is the name I was given. It is from the Xitsonga language and it means blessing. My name is Nkateko and here is all you need to know about me.
I am a 22-year old dreamer and conscious dream chaser. My whole life is a dream. When I remove myself from the picture and look at my life from a distance, I cannot believe how blessed I am. I am always in awe of how far I have come and I am excited to see how far I will go.
I am a born again child of God. I have been sanctified by the blood of Jesus and I live my life for Him. My life purpose is to make my life a reflection of my maker, to radiate the love of God everywhere I go.
I am a Law graduate from the Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. If I had to explain why I studied law that would have to be a separate book altogether, not to worry because I plan on writing it someday.
I am passionate about the youth and equal opportunities to access education. I am inquisitive, there is so much power in knowledge. Knowing who you are and what you are capable of, knowing that someone believes in you and thinks you have what it takes to succeed. If someone went out on a leap of faith and chased their dreams because of me my whole life will be complete.
I would love to travel the world someday. I recently made a pact with myself that when I get the chance to travel I will collect different types of tea and chocolate from around the world. Another thing that I have always wanted to do while I travel is learn how different people cook and enjoy their food. I want to take in the culture, I want to be present in the moment and live in new environments and just have new experiences that I will forever cherish.
I love food and anything to do with it (I watch cooking shows religiously without shame) and yet for some odd reason unknown to science (I’m lazy) I am not the best of cooks. I cook so that I don’t die from hunger. In my defence, there just wasn’t enough time in college to be a student, get enough rest and cook like Jamie Oliver every day.
My music taste is as vast as the ocean. I listen to Adele, Msaki, Sam Smith, Shekinah, Lady Zamar, Mozart, 6lack, Hillsong…if it’s good music I’m sold.
I love reading, my all-time favourite author is Paulo Coelho because of the Alchemist I vowed that I will read everything he has ever written. If you ever wanted to get me a gift *hint hint*
I call myself an expert single because I have been single for a while. I have gathered enough knowledge of the single life to call myself doctor single. I give a lot of relationship advise, but you know what they say about the coach not playing.
I am a free spirit. A child at heart. An old soul. I am obsessed with frequently editing my life story. I want to be happy, that is my goal. Whatever I do, wherever I am. I just want to be happy. I am almost always laughing and I do it intentionally. I am a sun chaser, always looking for love and warmth and growth and peace.
